Dr. Champion is from Headland, AL. She went to Auburn University for both her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She married Rusty Champion in 2012 and began working as an emergency veterinarian as well as a surgeon in Dothan, AL. Dr. Sarah and Rusty opened Abbie Creek Animal Hospital in 2018 in Abbeville, AL. They have 5 dogs, 2 cats, and 5 horses. They enjoy training retrievers and working cattle on the family farm in their spare time.

Cayla is from Texasville, AL. She has been a part of the ACAH family since 2019 & has been in the veterinary field for 5 years! Her favorite part about ACAH is definitely working cows with Dr. Champion. Cayla has 3 cats; Dudley, Yote, & Ralph, 3 dogs; Marley, Porter, & Milo, & what’s a farm girl without her herds of cattle & flocks of chickens! When Cayla’s not at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband & family going hunting & fishing.

Hallie is from Dothan, AL. She graduated from Dothan High School & is currently enrolled with Penn Foster to receive her veterinarian technician license. She’s been in the vet industry since 2017 & a part of the Abbie Creek family for almost 2 years! Her favorite part of ACAH is helping our surgery patients have a swift & easy recovery. Hallie has two cats, Dusti & Bentley, and one dog Bubba. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband & crafting with her family. You may have seen her crafts on the walls in our lobby!

Alex is from Headland, AL. She has worked in the veterinary field for 7 years. The ever changing speed of veterinary medicine is what attracts her to this line of work. She loves to learn new things & enjoys the fact that every day is different. Her favorite part of being at ACAH is spending time with clients and educating them about their pet whenever possible. She shares her home with 1 cat, Nickelodeon, & 3 dogs; Cabela, Silas, & Gumbo. When she’s not at work, Alex loves to snuggle & watch Netflix with her furbabies.

Ashley is from Headland, AL. She graduated from Headland High School and is currently enrolled in Penn Foster to receive her veterinary technician license. She has been a part of the Abbie Creek family for almost 2 years now! Her favorite part of ACAH is working with our equine patients! Ashley has two horses, Opal and Doc, two dogs, Bella and Kimeera, and two cats, Nemo and Coral. When she’s not at the clinic she enjoys riding her horses, and spending time with her family and boyfriend.

Jessica is from Abbeville, AL. She graduated from Abbeville Christian Academy and is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technology program at Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham. She has working with the Abbie Creek family for almost 3 years! Her favorite part of ACAH is the diversity of patients and having something different each day. Jessica has three cats, Snuffy, Onyx & Chuck, and one dog, Boomer. When she’s not studying, she enjoys fishing, watching Netflix and spending time with her family, friends and her boyfriend.

Courtney is from Oxford, North Carolina. She moved to Abbeville, AL July 2021. She’s been grooming pets since 2016. She shares her home with 2 dogs, 5 cats, & 2 snakes. Courtney’s the oldest of 7 – which explains why she’s such an awesome team player! She has love for ALL animals, big & small. Her favorite thing about being a part of ACAH is all the different kinds of animals she gets to work with every day. When she’s not at the clinic, Courtney likes to spend time with her furry friends outdoors!
